Mission Brenham Staff

Director of Programs

Mr. Jonathan B. Cortina

My name is Jonathan Cortina and I am so honored to be the Director of Programs for Mission Brenham. I am certain that God has placed me here in Brenham for a purpose. I first started working at Mission Brenham long before now; I worked as a Missionary Counselor (MC) for four consecutive summers between 2010 and 2014. It was through those summers that I knew the Lord was calling me to work for His kingdom through Mission Brenham. So I decided to switch my major during my third year at the University of North Texas to Development and Family Studies. Since I first was an “MC” I’ve only not worked for Mission Brenham one year, and I pray that it’s the only time I don’t work for Mission Brenham because I know the Lord has called me here for a very long time.

I am passionate about working with the children in Brenham, and am zealous to work with teens and train them to become passionate about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  On December 13, 2014, I became a graduate of the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, where I received my Bachelor in Science for Development and Family Studies and became the first in my family (from both sides) to graduate with a college degree, and soon after started working here at Mission Brenham. It’s a huge blessing that a college graduate gets to work in his field of study immediately after graduating, and not only that, it beats what statistics say and it’s my dream job. All of this would not have been possible without the sovereignty of God, whom I credit all my success to. I look forward to all the Lord does here at Mission Brenham.
